Nashville State’s new student orientations for non-traditional students is provided in an effort to make sure this demographic holds a level of comfort while pursuing their education.

Who are non-traditional students?

The Non-traditional Student Populations Network defines the non-traditional student as anyone who is not a first-time, full-time, straight out of high school, college student. This means that any student that identifies as any one or more of the following categories is non-traditional:

  • Part-time
  • Returning (re-entry)
  • Commuter
  • Veteran
  • Works full-time while enrolled
  • Has dependents other than a spouse/partner
  • Does not have a high school diploma (completed a GED or equivalent or did not finish high school)

Open to all first-time students that have applied to the college. Have your A# ready: faculty advisors will be available to help with advising/registration at the end of the information session.

Please sign up early as new student orientations fill up quickly: Reserve your seat.

Fall 2016 Financial Aid - FAFSA and All Documents Due Today

Date

July 01, 2016

Time

8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Details

For the fall semester, your FAFSA and all required documents must be received by the Financial Aid Office by 4:30 pm on July 1, 2016, to have aid in place in time to pay for classes and to ensure refund checks are received on time.

If you delay in submitting all of the required documents by the priority date, you will need to be prepared to pay your registration fees in full or set up a deferred payment plan with the Bursar’s Office in order to keep your classes from being dropped for non-payment.
