Culinary Arts grand opening at NSCC Southeast Campus

Nashville State Community College’s Southeast Campus is celebrating the construction of two new kitchens that will double the culinary arts program’s capacity.

To help with the effort, Piedmont Natural Gas Foundation awarded a $50,000 grant to the Randy Rayburn School of Culinary Arts. The program was renamed in 2011 for longtime Nashville restauranteur Rayburn.

Mayor Karl Dean attended the grant presentation Nov. 21 at 5248 Hickory Hollow Parkway. Classes in the new 5,000 square feet of kitchen and classroom space begin in January.
