Comments from our Students
As of July 5, 2005 I became the newest addition to the team here at Interior Design Associates Inc. A great staff of people to work with and a wonderful company to be a part of! Salary is above par and the benefits are top shelf. None of this would be possible without the education I received from Nashville State Community College over the past three years. The combined efforts of all instructors make the learning experience not only beneficial to the career of the students, but an enjoyable one as well. The program’s broad span of curriculum prepares the student for just about any job in the Architectural and/or Engineering field. To top it off; instructors work feverishly to challenge the students at each crossroad within the program insuring the capacity for abstract and diligent thought once in the working world. I owe a lot to the folks at NSCC and will always remember my time there as one of growth, prosperity and happiness!

"After working in another field for more than 12 years and many layoffs later, I decided a new career path was in order. After much research, I finally determined a new career field in the Architectural Engineering Technology program. Once that was determined, I decided on Nashville State Technical Institute, now Nashville State Community College. The program was as challenging as it was rewarding. I have never regretted for one second the choice of program or school. The education and training I received at NSCC has aided in the advancement of my career. I entered the Co-op program and accepted a position with the State of Tennessee upon graduation. Over ten years later, I have received four promotions and am doing exactly what I have been trained and educated to do....and loving every minute of it. Thank you NSCC and the Architectural Engineering Technology program for helping me to achieve my goals and reach new career heights."

What can I say about the Architectural Engineering Technology Program at Nashville State Community College? The program has prepared me for a career and helped me build a solid foundation for further studies in architecture. Getting hands-on experience with the CAD software and being exposed to the Sweets Catalog, building codes, and different methods of construction has made the transition from the school to the work environment very easy. Not only is the program very informative, but it is challenging. To all those who are interested in a career in architecture, the architectural program at NSCC is a good place to start. I can’t say enough about the program because it has helped me in many ways...Nashville Sate Community College just has a great Architectural Engineering Technology Program.
