The Astronomy Program offers courses designed to provide the student with appropriate theory and skills associated with the field. Courses are structured to provide job-related skills as well as skills necessary to pursue higher level science courses leading to the baccalaureate degree. Laboratory exercises are an integral part of the courses and are designed for hands-on reinforcement of basic principles and concepts.
The Astronomy Program’s curriculum includes the following courses:

These courses fulfill the General Education Curriculum leading to the A.A. and A.S. University Parallel degrees and are transferable to universities. They may be taken in either order.
