Bryan Evans
Bryan Evans is the CAD department coordinator and a former student of NSCC. Mr. Evans has over 13 years teaching experience here at NSCC in Drafting, 3D Design and Animation, as well as additional experience teaching seminars and private classes for corporate interests. After graduating from NSCC, he continued on in his studies of mechanical engineering, along with computer systems, while working for an Automation, Manufacturing and Design firm here in Tennessee. Starting as a 3D designer in automation systems he expanded into product design, marketing, and eventually into computer based machine controls and programming. While he enjoys helping students get off to a great start in life, he still keeps in constant contact with industry to maintain his skills and to stay up to date with the newest technology and trends. By continuing this close contact with industry, the students will receive instruction that reflects and familiarizes them with the current job market. Mr. Evans teaches all levels of Drafting as well as 3D CAD and Digital Animation.



Alex Smiley
Alex Smiley grew up in south central Kentucky on a diary farm. After graduation from high school and stint in the Army, he attended and graduated with a BSME from the University of Kentucky. While working for General Electric Co., he attended and graduated from the University of Louisville with a MEEM degree. After working in industry for about 18 years, Alex went into business for himself. For about 8 years, Alex owned and operated an engineering company that specialized in design and fabrication of custom material handling equipment. Upon retiring from this and experiencing traveling for a couple of years, he accepted a position with Nashville State Technical Community College as an instructor in the Manufacturing Department. Mr. Smiley teaches all levels of drafting as well as 3D Design and some classes in Architecture and Electrical Technology.
