Nashville State Community College is an outstanding school. Whether you are right out of high school, finishing up those last few credits before you transfer to a university, or completing an Associates degree you have everything you need right at your fingertips.
The CNT program is the best program one could hope for in regards to computer networking. The staff is extremely knowledgeable on all areas of technology. If there is anything you need to know or learn one of the professors is sure to have the answer. I can’t speak highly enough of the Cisco Networking Academy. Access to the latest cutting edge equipment and materials allows you to propel yourself through the certification ranks. They offer advanced CCNP and Cisco security classes which will teach you everything you need to know for both the exam room and the real world. The hands-on lab time is worth its weight in gold and they offer more of it than any program I’ve heard of. I’m not talking about a 5-day boot camp where you’re sure to forget most of the material. Imagine spending as much time as you wish training on top notch equipment. This type of training is the kind that employers look for when they are seeking network engineers of the highest quality. Trust me when I say that this school rocks!

When I retired as an airline pilot, my whish was to continue learning new things, which were always in abundance in the airline industry. Wasting not time in returning to the educational realm, I have found the Information Technology curriculum at Nashville State community College an excellent source of thing useful and interesting to learn. At present I am working at certification in Cisco Networking Technology and have developed an interest in Oracle database technology as well. Both curricula are taught by professors of impressive talent and patience, and who seem always available to answer student questions. The school seems intent on keeping abreast of new technology, as the class catalogue for each semester includes class listings for technologies and software which did not exist a short time prior. For those with a desire to learn new skills applicable to the world of technology, in my opinion, NSCC is among the best schools in the state.
