Philosophy Club

The NSCC Philosophy Club welcomes all wisdom seekers.

  • Meetings, open to everyone, provide opportunities to analyze pressing philosophical questions and debate answers.
  • Most meetings focus on a particular theme or group of themes.  For example, we’ve talked about freedom, love, violence, rights, selfishness, etc.
  • Participants can receive:
    • intellectual stimulation and enlightenment
    • opportunities to display their own brilliance, or to bask in others’
    • a bulleted item under “extra-curricular activities” on a résumé or CV
    • multiple additional benefits, supernal and sublime
