Krista McBride is an instructor of physics at Nashville State Community College (NSCC).  Besides teaching physics for NSCC, she is currently working on finishing her Ph.D. degree in biophysics at Vanderbilt University.  Mrs. McBride also has a B.A. degree from Florida Southern College.  Soccer is her main hobby.

Arthur J. Ward is a professor of physics and mathematics at Nashville State Community College (NSCC) and serves as the Physical Sciences Coordinator.  He has taught various physics, mathematics, astronomy, and computer language courses at NSCC since being hired at what was then the Nashville State Technical Institute in March of 1973. Professor Ward has served as Chairman of the Faculty Assembly (now Faculty Senate) and as President of the American Association of University Professors chapter at NSCC.  Art also taught mathematics courses at Fisk University for five years.  He is a member of the American Association of Physics Teachers and has participated in over fifteen AAPT/NSF-sponsored workshops on physics education. Mr.Ward lives with his wife Julie, three dogs, and six cats on a 26-acre farm in Cheatham and enjoys growing vegetables and hunting deer and turkeys that eat more than their share. Another hobby is herpetology and Professor Ward has given talks to students at the University School of Nashville on snakebite treatment and the identification of poisonous snakes. An occasional Timber Rattlesnake or Copperhead is a brief pet at his farm.
