Thomas E. Jones
Thomas E. Jones is a retired Metropolitan-Nashville Police lieutenant with 28 years total experience, including service as a Captain in the U.S. Army’s Criminal Investigation Division. He was educated at Middle Tennessee State University where he graduated as a Distinguished Military Graduate (DMG) from the University’s ROTC program, and has worked as an adjunct criminal justice instructor for over 20 years. As a Crime Scene Investigator he investigated and testified in dozens of Nashville’s most publicized criminal cases. He is a certified police firearms instructor, a court recognized expert witness in both civil and criminal trials, and is an expert in latent fingerprint comparison; firearms evidence, evidence photography and traffic crash reconstruction.
Paul Myers, Associate Professor
Professor Myers graduated in 1970 from Florida State University with a degree in Criminalistics. His background includes probation/parole supervisor, prison instructor, crime scene investigator, patrol supervisor, captain of training and is retired as Chief of a Middle TN Police Department. He has over 900 hours of advanced training in a multitude of different law enforcement disciplines. He has been a POST Certified general departmental police instructor. He is also a member of the Tennessee Division of The International Association for Identification. He has been Officer in Charge and Coordinator of NSCC’s Police Academy for the past ten years.
Mr. Michael A. Wright
Mr. Wright is a former Metro Nashville Police Officer with 22 years experience. He held many positions within the department to include: Hit and Run Investigator, Traffic Crash Investigator and Reconstructionist, Background Investigator, Training specialist with the Police Academy. Mr. Wright has been qualified as an expert in 6 Middle Tennessee counties in: Police Policy, Emergency Vehicle operation and Traffic Crash Reconstruction. Mr. Wright is a graduate of Austin Peay state University and Columbia Southern University.
