It is important that A.S. / A.A. students take courses that will count toward the baccalaureate degree at the transfer institution. Talking with the Nashville State advisor is an important step in scheduling the right courses.
The A.A. and A.S. degrees are designed for students who intend to transfer and complete a baccalaureate degree after graduation from Nashville State.

  • If the intended transfer baccalaureate institution is known, the student should obtain a catalog from that institution and follow its requirements.
  • If the intended transfer baccalaureate institution is not known, the Nashville State courses listed below are recommended.
  • If the transfer institution is a Tennessee Board of Regents University, then the General Education core requirements listed below will meet the university’s general education core requirements.

The Association of American Law Schools does not recommend a specific pre-law curriculum.

Students intending to attend a law school after attaining a four-year baccalaureate degree should obtain a catalog from that institution and follow its requirements.
