The history, social sciences and language program at Nashville State consists of 25 courses in:

History
Political Science
Psychology
Sociology
Geography
Economics
Spanish
French
German

Courses can be taken to satisfy general education requirements for the AA/AS, AAS or AST degrees or for personal/professional interest. Students interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree may also select an Area of Emphasis from the program. In addition to traditional subject content, courses help students improve their writing, research, speaking, critical thinking, and team work skills.
