Nashville State Community College has received approval to begin an Associates Degree in Nursing program. The first class will begin August 2010. We are looking for experienced nurses who are passionate about the profession and who believe in the values that have been passed down through generations. We are looking for faculty who are interested in teaching, assisting in curriculum development, and willing to serve as mentors to the next generation of nurses.   

Requirements: Master’s Degree in Nursing (or working toward completion of a Master’s Degree in Nursing) and two years’ recent nursing clinical experience. Licensure as a registered nurse in Tennessee is required. Experience in teaching preferred, but not required.

Systems Analyst I

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent area from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in a field highly related to computer science or data processing required.  Two to three years of experience in a position in which information management was a significant part of the job responsibilities is required. Background in relational database systems or an equivalent combination of related education and experience is required. Knowledge and experience using SQL programming is required (preferably Oracle PL/SQL). Knowledge and experience with reporting tools such as Oracle Reports & Discoverer and experience with Sun Solaris operating system is desirable. Experience with SunGard HE Banner system is also desirable.

Adjunct Faculty - Computer Networking Technology

Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Five years’ appropriate occupational experience in network administration required. Recent certifications in CompTia A+ and/or Network+ required. Certification in one or more of the following desired:  CNA, MCP, CCNA.

Adjunct Faculty - Healthcare Management

Must be a Registered Health Information Administrator with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management (Medical Record Administration) from an accredited institution plus five years’ experience in Health Information or a Master’s degree from an accredited institution plus three years’ experience in Healthcare Management. A thorough knowledge of medical terminology; extensive experience with insurance reimbursement; ICD and CPT coding experience; and a working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office are required. Position requires classroom/online instruction in all Healthcare Management courses.

Tutors Needed
