Nashville State Community College has received approval to begin an Associates Degree in Nursing program. The first class will begin August 2010. We are looking for experienced nurses who are passionate about the profession and who believe in the values that have been passed down through generations. We are looking for faculty who are interested in teaching, assisting in curriculum development, and willing to serve as mentors to the next generation of nurses. We are currently recruiting full-time nursing faculty who have experience in the following areas:

• Medical / Surgical
• Critical Care

Responsibilities include didactic/clinical instruction as well as demonstrated teaching ability and clinical experience.

Requirements: Master’s Degree in Nursing (or working toward completion of a Master’s Degree in Nursing) and two years’ recent nursing clinical experience. Licensure as a registered nurse in Tennessee is required. Experience in teaching preferred, but not required.

A.A.S. Advisor – Perkins Grant Program

Temporary, Part-time – 25 hours/week. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a community college setting required. Preference given to applicants with classroom teaching experience. This position is grant-funded.

Secretary III

Dean of Students. Must be able to perform a variety of clerical tasks. A high school diploma or educational equivalent, proficiency in business English and math, and excellent computer skills are required.

Coordinator of Technical Support – Financial Aid Office

Bachelor’s degree (preferably in computer programming, business administration, counseling or related field) or related business experience required. Experience in a financial aid office preferred. Experience with SCT products desirable. Responsibilities include managing job scheduling and automation, coordinating data exchange with Dept. of Education, creating/managing reports, providing general financial aid counseling to students, and supervising financial aid clerk.

Nursing Program. Includes multiple responsibilities, including front-line customer service with needed ability to express ideas clearly and concisely.
