Adjunct Faculty - Main and Southeast Campuses

Part-time instructors needed for day/evening and multi-campus teaching at Nashville State’s Main Campus and Southeast Campus. Demonstrated computer literacy, sense of collegiality, proficiency in oral/written English, and the ability to adapt technology to a variety of teaching and learning situations are required. College-level teaching experience is preferred.

Part-time instructors needed to teach in the following disciplines:

  • English as a Second Language (ESOL): Part-time instructors needed to teach English as a Second Language (ESOL) courses. Baccalaureate degree in Teaching English as a Second Language or a related field, a baccalaureate degree with 18 graduate hours in TESL/TEFL, a baccalaureate degree with additional TESL/TEFL certification, or a baccalaureate degree with significant relevant work experience is required. Related work experience, continuous documented excellence in teaching, or other demonstrated achievements related to the teaching area may be considered. A master’s degree in TESL/TEFL or a related field is preferred.
  • Learning Support Reading: Part-time instructors needed to teach learning support reading courses. Bachelor’s degree in English, education or related field required and 18 graduate hours in reading preferred.
  • Learning Support Mathematics: Part-time instructors needed to teach learning support mathematics courses. Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or higher required.

Director-Associate Dean - Clarksville Campus

Director is responsible for providing the administrative leadership of the college’s satellite campus located in Clarksville Tennessee, and must be able to:

  • Supervise faculty and staff;
  • Prepare and maintain campus budget;
  • Develop programs and recruit instructors to meet the needs of area students and businesses;
  • Oversee physical plant; and
  • Ensure adequate infrastructure for classroom instruction, administrative and student support, and building maintenance.

Responsibilities include coordination of programs with main campus and fundraising efforts. Interaction with public and private businesses and agencies is mandatory. Administrative or managerial experience is required. Instructional experience and a Master’s degree are preferred.

Process Technology Instructor - Humphreys County Campus

Term Position, Academic Year – Salary Range $35,000 - $47,100.
Bachelor’s degree in related field (electrical, instrumentation, process control, mechanical engineering) or Associate’s degree in related field with a minimum of 5 years of appropriate industrial experience required. Demonstrated current knowledge of the process industry and ability to work with local industries to plan and execute laboratory experiences for students as required. NCCER certification is preferable. Responsibilities include teaching courses, supervising cooperative education experiences along with advising and recruiting students.
