Contract Training Specialist

NSCC is seeking an individual to develop contract training opportunities with business and industry, including industrial maintenance training. The selected individual will develop training proposals, recruit and supervise instructors, and work with business and industry to support their training needs.

Requirements: Two years of experience in a teaching/learning position, additional experience in business/industry team leadership, understanding of current technologies, and experience in developing and delivering training. Two years of college education is preferred.

Secretary II - Computer and Engineering Technologies

Primary Job Responsibilities
The secretary performs routine clerical tasks and correspondence relating to adjunct faculty contracts; arranges meetings and interviews; transcribes meeting notes; maintains personnel and financial records; maintains the student enrollment with external business, industry, and education partners; and other duties as defined.

Job Qualifications
A high school diploma or educational equivalent is required; college degree preferred. Proficiency in business English and math required. Proficiency in use of software programs (Microsoft Office Suite preferred) and spreadsheet/database experience preferred.

Adjunct Faculty - Art Appreciation Instructor

Nashville State Community College is a two-year comprehensive community college with an enrollment of over 10,000 students. The following adjunct faculty position is now available:

ART APPRECIATION INSTRUCTOR

Master’s degree required with 18 graduate hours in studio art, art history, or combination of the two. Experience in teaching at the college level preferred.

Immediate need for a daytime instructor at the Main Campus and Southeast Campus in Nashville, and in Dickson at the Dickson Renaissance Center.

The position requires demonstrated computer literacy, sense of collegiality, proficiency in oral/written English, and the ability to adapt technology to a variety of teaching and learning situations.
