Adjunct Faculty - Reading Instructor

Nashville State Community College is a two-year comprehensive community college with an enrollment of over 10,000 students. The following adjunct faculty position is now available:

READING INSTRUCTOR

Bachelor’s degree in English or education required and 18 graduate hours in reading instruction preferred. Experience in teaching reading required. 

Immediate need for a daytime instructor at the Main Campus and Southeast Campus in Nashville, and at the Cookeville Higher Education Campus.

The position requires demonstrated computer literacy, sense of collegiality, proficiency in oral/written English, and the ability to adapt technology to a variety of teaching and learning situations. Duties may include day/evening and multi-campus teaching (Main Campus and Southeast Campus in Nashville, and at the Cookeville Higher Education Campus).

Adjunct Faculty - Spanish Instructor

Nashville State Community College is a two-year comprehensive community college with an enrollment of over 10,000 students. The following adjunct faculty position is now available:

SPANISH INSTRUCTOR

Master’s degree required with 18 graduate hours in Spanish language/literature; some hours may be in SL pedagogy. Experience in teaching at the college level preferred.

Immediate need for an instructor for a Monday evening class.

Adjunct Faculty - World Religions Instructor

Nashville State Community College is a two-year comprehensive community college with an enrollment of over 10,000 students. The following adjunct faculty position is now available:

WORLD RELIGIONS INSTRUCTOR

Master’s degree in religion or philosophy with a concentration in religion; if the latter, 18 hours in religion at graduate level preferred. Experience in teaching at the college level preferred.

Immediate need for an instructor on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 to 9:20 a.m. on the Nashville campus.

Adjunct Faculty - Main Campus

Part-time instructors needed to teach in the following disciplines:

  • Accounting: Part-time instructors needed to teach Principles of Accounting I and/or Principles of Accounting II. CPA and Master’s degree in accounting or related field with 18 graduate hours in accounting required.
  • Computer Applications: Part-time instructors needed to teach Computer Applications. MBA with documented work experience in Microsoft Office required. Certification preferred.
  • Economics: Part-time instructors needed to teach economics. Master’s degree in economics or related discipline with 18 graduate hours in economics required.
  • Healthcare Management – Coding: Part-time instructors needed to teach healthcare management coding courses. Must be approved AHIMA ICD-10. Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field with coding certification and a minimum of two years’ industry experience.

  • Sociology: Part-time instructors needed to teach sociology courses. Master’s degree in sociology or related discipline with 18 graduate hours in sociology required.
