Psychology Instructor

Academic-year, term position. A Master’s degree in psychology or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution is a minimum requirement of the position.

College teaching experience is preferred. All faculty positions require computer literacy, the ability to use technology in the classroom, and proficiency in oral/written English. Occupational Therapy Instructor

Academic-year, term position. Minimum of Bachelor’s degree and registration as an Occupational Therapist. Must hold current or be eligible for Tennessee licensure. College-level teaching experience and diverse practice experience preferred.

Early Childhood Education Instructor

Biology Instructors - Main Campus

Academic-year, term position. Two positions at the Nashville campus of Nashville State are available. One position requires an ability to teach microbiology and introduction to biology for majors and non-majors. The other position requires the ability to teach human anatomy and physiology; additionally, experience with introduction to biology is preferred. A Master’s degree in biology or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution is a minimum requirement of the position.

Workforce and Community Development Part-Time Instructors

Part-Time Industrial, Leadership and Computer Instructors

Part-time instructors needed to teach a wide array of industrial related programs such as shop math, blueprint reading, pneumatics, hydraulics, electricity/electronics, mechatronics, introduction to welding, and shielded metal arc welding.

Leadership and Supervisory Development courses include but are not limited to: Self-awareness, Listening (and accepting feedback), Meeting Management (both as a participant and meeting leader), Time Management, Communication (verbal and written), Collaboration (and teamwork) and Conflict resolution.

Instructors are also needed for soft skills curriculum and computer related programs such as MS Office, Comp TIAA+/Comp TIA Network+ Certifications, AutoCAD, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s). A degree may not be required but certification and one to two years of teaching experience is preferred. Flexible schedules available.
