Adjunct Reading Instructor - Main and Southeast Campuses

Bachelor’s degree in English, education or related field required and 18 graduate hours in reading preferred.

The position requires demonstrated computer literacy, sense of collegiality, proficiency in oral/written English, and the ability to adapt technology to a variety of teaching and learning situations. Nursing Instructor Position

Looking for a new challenge from your nursing career? Come and teach in our nursing program.

Nashville State Community College is looking for experienced nurses who are passionate about the profession and who believe in the values that have been passed down through generations. We are looking for faculty who are interested in teaching, assisting in curriculum development, and willing to serve as mentors to the next generation of nurses. We are currently recruiting full-time nursing faculty who have experience in the area of Medical/Surgical Nursing.

Responsibilities include didactic/clinical instruction as well as demonstrated teaching ability and clinical experience.

Requirements: Master’s Degree in Nursing (or working toward completion of a Master’s Degree in Nursing) and two years’ recent nursing clinical experience. Licensure as a registered nurse in Tennessee is required. Experience in teaching preferred, but not required.

Early Childhood Education Instructor

AY, Term position – Salary Range $31,700 - $42,700. Master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in early childhood education are required.

All positions require demonstrated computer literacy, sense of collegiality, proficiency in oral/written English, and the ability to adapt technology to a variety of teaching and learning situations. Culinary Arts Program Director and Instructor

Academic Year Full-time Faculty Term Contract
Nashville State Community College is seeking an experienced individual as Program Director and Instructor for its Culinary Arts certificate and degree programs. This position requires an individual with significant industry experience, a proven track record of actively engaging external stakeholders, exceptional leadership and management skills, strong written, verbal and presentation skills and excellent teaching skills. This program has strong support by the culinary community and plays a vital role in meeting the rapidly expanding culinary opportunities in the fast growing Nashville area.

Nashville State delivers its Culinary Arts program in state-of-the-art facilities at the Southeast Campus, Nashville State’s newest campus. The Program Director works closely with full- and part-time faculty to ensure the delivery of the highest level of technical skills and leads the program’s partnership, marketing and recruiting initiatives. The Nashville State program is accredited by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts required; Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
  • 10+ years’ industry experience required.
  • 5 years teaching experience with program management experience required.
  • Professional certification required.
