Adjunct Faculty - Theater Instructor

Nashville State Community College is a two-year comprehensive community college with an enrollment of over 10,000 students. The following adjunct faculty position is now available:

THEATER INSTRUCTOR

Master’s degree required with 18 graduate hours in theater arts; experience in teaching at the college level preferred.

The position requires demonstrated computer literacy, sense of collegiality, proficiency in oral/written English, and the ability to adapt technology to a variety of teaching and learning situations.  Duties may include day/evening and multi-campus teaching (Main Campus on White Bridge Road and Southeast Campus).

Psychology Instructor

Academic-year, term position. A Master’s degree in psychology or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution is a minimum requirement of the position.

College teaching experience is preferred. All faculty positions require computer literacy, the ability to use technology in the classroom, and proficiency in oral/written English. Duties potentially include, but are not limited to, day/evening classes, on/off campus teaching, online teaching, curriculum development, advising students, and other responsibilities as assigned. A classroom presentation on an assigned topic will be required for all candidates interviewed.

Occupational Therapy Instructor

Academic-year, term position. Minimum of Bachelor’s degree and registration as an Occupational Therapist. Must hold current or be eligible for Tennessee licensure. College-level teaching experience and diverse practice experience preferred.

Early Childhood Education Instructor

Biology Instructors - Main Campus

Academic-year, term position. Two positions at the Nashville campus of Nashville State are available. One position requires an ability to teach microbiology and introduction to biology for majors and non-majors. The other position requires the ability to teach human anatomy and physiology; additionally, experience with introduction to biology is preferred.
