Nursing Instructor

Nashville State Community College is looking for experienced nurses who are passionate about the profession and who believe in the values that have been passed down through generations. We are looking for faculty who are interested in teaching, assisting in curriculum development, and willing to serve as mentors to the next generation of nurses. We are currently recruiting full-time nursing faculty who have experience in the area of Medical/Surgical Nursing.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include didactic/clinical instruction as well as demonstrated teaching ability and clinical experience.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Nursing (or working toward completion of a Master’s Degree in Nursing) and two years’ recent nursing clinical experience. Licensure as a registered nurse in Tennessee is required. Experience in teaching preferred, but not required.

Biology Instructor - Humphreys County Campus

Academic-year, term position. A Master’s degree in biology or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution is a minimum requirement of the position.

All faculty positions require computer literacy, the ability to use technology in the classroom, and proficiency in oral/written English. Duties include, but are not limited to, day/evening, on/off campus teaching, curriculum development, advising students and other responsibilities as assigned. College teaching experience is preferred. A classroom presentation on an assigned topic will be required for all candidates interviewed.

Music Technology Instructor

Academic-year, term position. Associate’s degree in Music Technology or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of five years’ professional experience in the music industry and three years’ operating professional level Pro Tools systems required. Minimum of five years’ experience owning or managing a business preferred. Three years’ experience teaching music theory, production, business, and studio courses preferred.

Academic-year, term position. Master’s degree in mathematics or related discipline from an accredited institution with 18 graduate hours in mathematics required.
