Adjunct Instructor - Culinary Arts

Minimum of an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts and/or Hospitality Management from an accredited institution. Minimum of 3 years full-time work experience in a restaurant or food service establishment as chef, executive chef, director, or manager. ServSafe certified as well as eligible for membership in and/or holding certification by the American Culinary Federation as a certified executive chef or certified chef educator. Experience or demonstrated ability in integrating technology in instruction.

Psychology Instructor - Dickson

Academic-year, term position. A Master’s degree in psychology or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution is a minimum requirement of the position. Successful candidate may be required to teach at the Clarksville Campus as well as in Dickson.

College teaching experience is preferred. All faculty positions require computer literacy, the ability to use technology in the classroom, and proficiency in oral/written English. Duties potentially include, but are not limited to, day/evening classes, on/off campus teaching, online teaching, curriculum development, advising students, and other responsibilities as assigned. A classroom presentation on an assigned topic will be required for all candidates interviewed.

Paralegal Studies Program Leader and Instructor

Academic Year Full-time Faculty Term Contract
Nashville State Community College is seeking an experienced individual to serve as Program Leader, instructor, and advisor for its Paralegal Studies A.A.S. degree program. This individual should have a background working with paralegals, demonstrate excellent teaching skills, have the ability to work with external stakeholders, and possess exceptional leadership skills.

The Program Leader works closely with full- and part-time faculty to ensure delivery of the highest level of instruction. The Program Leader is responsible for all aspects of the program including but not limited to developing and revising curricula, scheduling and staffing classes, maintaining institutional reporting requirements, championing the program’s advisory committee, and developing co-curricular activities.

Qualifications

  • J.D. degree required
  • Must be available to teach day, night, and online courses
  • Industry experience required
  • Teaching experience with program management experience preferred
