RX TN Grant, Program Coordinator

(Approximately 3-year full-time grant funded position)

This position will facilitate the set-up and delivery of RX TN staff training, meetings and onsite activities. Duties include but are not limited to assisting completion coach with recruiting and delivery of student support component; coordinating grant-related meetings; and providing office management and purchasing support.

Bachelor’s degree required and two to three years of previous grant administrative experience preferred. Two to three years of office management or project management experience required. Excellent communication and computer skills including Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) are required. The position will be located in Nashville but may require travel from Nashville to Clarksville, Dickson, Cookeville and Waverly.

RX TN Grant, Completion Coach

(Full-time grant funded position)
(Position available approximately from 2-1-13 to 9-30-15)

Student Services: Position will be responsible for facilitating the delivery of student support components, as prescribed by the RX TN grant. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting students with academic plans, assisting students with accessing resources, being available for appointments, collaborating with faculty and staff, helping students apply for Financial Aid, and student outreach.

Bachelor’s degree and proficient computer skills are required. Experience working with students and/or previous counseling experience is preferred.

RX TN Grant, Technical Clerk

(Approximately 3-year full-time grant funded position)

This position will support all grant aspects including file maintenance, purchasing support, travel arrangements, assistance with budgeting and monitoring. Duties include but are not limited to assisting in the preparation of required reports, maintaining inventory spreadsheets and coordinating with other college offices as required.

Associate’s degree required. Excellent communication skills and computer skills including Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) are required. At least three years of related work experience with prior work experience in a federally funded program preferred. This position will be located in Nashville.

Maintenance Worker - Humphreys County Campus

Humphreys County Campus: Maintenance Worker is needed to perform variety of carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance plus daily custodial duties as needed. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum of two years’ experience in general maintenance preferred. Basic Computer skills and ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis required. Applicant should demonstrate proficiency in oral and written English. Possession of a valid Tennessee driver’s license required.

Executive Director of Computer Services Division

This position manages the Computer Services Division (CSD) of NSCC providing leadership, direction, and planning for technology services to include academic computing, administrative computing, video systems, and telecommunication systems necessary to support all facets of NSCC’s operations, including instruction and administration, in accordance with NSCC and TBR policies and procedures.

Minimum Standards:

  • Minimum of a BS/BA in computer science, management information systems, business or related field from an accredited institution required; specialist degree preferred.
  • Ten to 15 years of related experience required; some higher education administration experience preferred.
  • Five to ten years of management and supervisory experience required.
  • Knowledge of information systems and their application and an understanding of applicable federal and state laws required.
  • Technical computer skills along with complex information systems implementation and ERP experience required.
