Account Clerk II - Student Accounts

Bursar’s Office. (Office hours are 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) High school diploma or educational equivalent is required. Candidate must be bondable, possess one year of recent accounts receivable collections experience, accounting or related work experience, and have excellent computer skills to include working with spreadsheets, word processing, cash receipting and/or accounting systems. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be self-motivated and willing to learn new software applications.

Primary job responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring an assigned group of student accounts with respect to outstanding balances by working closely with supervisor and other department staff.
  • Performing account reconciliations of individual student accounts and requesting credit memos, refunds, or other adjustments as appropriate to resolve any discrepancies between school records and students’ records.
  • Contacting students by phone, letter, or other methods to request payment of outstanding balances, in accordance with established collection policies and procedures.
  • Requesting quarterly write-off of uncollectible account balances according to established policies and procedures.
  • Reviewing accounts and recommending placement with collection agencies as necessary.
  • Fulfilling duties as a cashier during student registration periods or as assigned.
  • Providing collection status reports for management as requested.
  • Filing and maintaining all related documents.

Institutional Research Analyst

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree preferred. Strong working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software required. Good communication skills, both oral and written, are essential. Experience in institutional research is desired.

Science Lab Assistant - Humphreys County Campus

Part-time – 18.8 hours/week: Science Department, Humphreys County Campus. High school diploma or educational equivalent is required. Knowledge of biology or related field required.
