Mission
The Nashville State Library provides access to materials and services which support the instructional and administrative objectives of the College and which stimulate and nurture the interests of students and faculty.
The mission of the Nashville State Library is:
To provide a collection of materials and services that will meet the needs of students in degree and certificate programs,
To assist students and faculty in using all available resources and services,
To provide individual and group study space,
To provide and maintain audiovisual equipment used for instruction,
To provide a quiet and comfortable atmosphere in which students and faculty may read and study,
To provide recreational reading materials and information needed by students and faculty for personal self-development and daily living, and
To provide library orientation for all users in cooperation with the teaching faculty.
While checkout privileges are reserved to students, faculty, and staff of Nashville State and other Tennessee Board of Regents institutions, you are welcome in our Library. Let us know, and we will be happy to assist you in using our catalog and other resources. In addition, our Library provides interLibrary loan services of items in our general circulating collection to other libraries across the nation.
