What is the Athena Catalog?
The Athena Catalog allows Nashville State students, faculty and staff to access the catalogs of twelve Middle Tennessee area libraries. You may request a book in the Athena catalog through interlibrary loan.
What is an interlibrary loan?
Interlibrary loan is a system that allows you to borrow books from other libraries. A form for interlibrary loan is available at the circulation desk.
How do I access the Athena Catalog?
The Athena Catalog can be accessed from the Nashville State homepage or from the Search the Library Catalog page. Click on the Athena link, and the following page appears.

You will note that you now have access to twelve area libraries.
To search the Athena Catalog, type in your search word or phrase. Narrow your search by clicking on Keyword, Author, Title, or Subject Headings. Then click Go.
If the book you want is listed in another library’s catalog and if it is available to be checked out, go to the circulation desk at the Nashville State library and fill out an interlibrary loan form. The librarian will then process your request, and you should have the book within a week to ten days.
