Testimonials From Our Students

"I have enjoyed my time at Nashville State Community College (NSCC). Since I started at NSCC, I have gained knowledge that I need to better myself and go further with my education. Instructors are always available in class or outside of class to answer my questions. NSCC is a big school whose instructors give the attention expected of a small school. NSCC has opened up a lot of opportunities for me. I am grateful for all the hard work the instructors put in to help us succeed in the world. Instructors not only teach you the material, but also show you how to use that knowledge in the workforce." - Abikarim (“Abdi”) Elmi

“Nashville State Community College has been a rewarding experience for me. The class environment has always been positive. The instructors are dedicated, conscientious, student-oriented and were always available for one-on-one to answer my questions. And, with the help of many new student friendships, I was able to become a part of study groups that were geared toward class excellence. As a result, I graduated with honors! With a recommendation from the college, I was able to land a great job with excellent benefits in the healthcare industry with nearly a 50% increase in starting salary and opportunities to advance. I would recommend NSCC to anyone interested in a quality educational institution with great opportunities for a better future. The sacrifices of time and effort have definitely been worth it!” - Mary T. Bustos

"Every teacher I’ve encountered in the accounting department has gone out of their way to help me understand the complicated field of accounting. Their teaching through the use of examples on how best to work an accounting problem really helps. Mrs. Gershowitz taught me the fundamentals very well, which made the rest of my classes easier to understand." - David Sharp
