Register to take the REMOTE COMPASS placement test at NSCC for admission to a different institution: For students that are taking the COMPASS placement for a different institution than Nashville State Community College, click here and choose Remote COMPASS. Please be sure to contact your institution to have them set the test up for you. Nashville State Community College charges a $25 fee for this service.
Instructions to take the REMOTE COMPASS placement test at a different institution for NSCC admission: Read Remote COMPASS Assessment Directions below. These directions are for students that are taking the the COMPASS placement at a different institution for admission to Nashville State Community College.
Send an email to the Nashville State Community College Testing Center at testingcenter@nscc.edu. Please include the following information in your email:
* If you do not know your Nashville State ID Number, please provide your date of birth in your email so we can verify your testing requirements before we start the process of locating testing centers. *
When we receive your email containing the information listed above, we will look up the closest testing centers based on the ZIP code you provided. You will be notified of these testing center options via email, so please use an easily accessible email address. Further instructions will be included in the email response from the Testing Center. If you have not received an email from the Nashville State Community College Testing Center within a week, please call the Testing Center at 615-353-3564 or 615-353-3565 to ensure your email request was received.
Please Note: You must submit an application to Nashville State Community College before you can be registered to take a remote COMPASS Assessment. Also, please be aware you will be responsible for any fees associated with testing at a center outside of Nashville State Community College.
Reminder: NSCC students can test free of charge at the Nashville State Community College Testing Center (Non-NSCC students who take the ACT COMPASS test will be charged $25). If you decide you would like to test at NSCC, please review the COMPASS information at the top of this page.
