Student Resources

Student TestimonialAt Nashville State, I was able to improve my English to gain acceptance to Graduate School. I learned more here in two months than I had in the previous year-and-a-half.

Student Photo ID

Student identification cards (Student ID) display a photo and name of student cardholder and are valid as long as the student is actively enrolled in classes. The photo ID cards are used for library privileges, admittance to some college-sponsored activities, student elections, and other college services.

Not Mandatory, but Recommended
Although having a photo ID is not mandatory, students and employees are encouraged to obtain a card during their first semester.

Cost for ID
The initial student ID card will be issued free of charge. There will be a $10.00 replacement fee assessed for cards that are lost, damaged, stolen, or those that require a name change.

Steps for Getting ID
To receive a student ID the student must provide proof of current registration and one of the following items:

  • A driver’s license with a photograph
  • A valid State of Tennessee photo ID
  • An original birth certificate
  • A passport

To update the photo ID card to include subsequent enrollments, the student must present the photo ID card and proof of the current semester enrollment.

Replacement fees must be paid at the Bursar’s office.
