Mission Statement

The mission of the Nashville State Testing Center is to support the instructional goals of the College by providing a multitude of testing services in a quiet, proctored environment. These include the following:

Provide placement testing services for prospective students, including the Compass and ACT exams.

Administer challenge tests for students placed in developmental math courses.

Provide a secure and quiet place for students in distance education courses to take their course exams.

Administer make-up tests for students who missed scheduled class exams.

Administer the California Critical Thinking Skills Test as a general exit examination as well as individual programs’ exit exams.

Serve as a testing site for students enrolled in the RODP programs.

To offer and proctor tests for students wishing to further their college careers, such as CLEP and NET.

Serve as a national testing site for students in independent study courses at college and universities.
