Dickson County Campus

Nashville State has offered classes in Dickson for many years. The Fall 2007 semester marked an expanded and more permanent presence for the college in Dickson County. This expansion resulted when Dickson County civic leaders formed a higher education committee and extended the invitation to Nashville State to become lead institution for the county's new higher education center. The Center's inaugural location, at 222 McLemore Street adjacent to the county adult learning program, provides a central setting for area students to take college classes.

Nashville State is partnering with Austin Peay State University and other four-year colleges to bring a full array of courses to Dickson. As lead institution, Nashville State provides general education courses that may be applied to associate or bachelor's degrees. Programs of study include Business and Applied Arts, English and Humanities, Social Sciences, and Math & Science, as well as developmental classes to prepare students for college-level work. Students also have the option of taking Community Education and online courses through the center.
