Services for Students

The Career Employment Center is the point of contact where employers seek students, graduates and alumni to hire.  Jobs posted with us often do not appear anywhere else.  Employers know of our services and the quality of our students including their strong work attitude and ethics as well as their technical abilities.

Resume Review Sessions

Resume Review Workshops are provided each week by appointment at the Career Employment Center.  Appointments are scheduled on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and on Thursdays from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Students should bring a copy of the printed resume as well a copy in MS word on diskette for review and changes.  Please contact the Career employment Center to schedule an appointment at 353-3248.

Services available through the Career Employment Center include:

Job Postings - Jobs are posted daily, on the JOBS Bulletin Board and in the Job Binders found in the Center.

Resume Postings and assistance with resume construction.

Cooperative Education (CO-OP) - An excellent way to obtain valuable job experience within your major before you graduate. College credits and a good salary are features of the program.

Job Fairs - The Center sponsors two job fairs per year: the Professional/Technical Career Expo in November, and Project Paycheck in April.

Recruiting Tables and Special Events on Campus - Employers recruiting new employees frequently set up tables in the hallway outside the Center to talk with interested students and take their application for employment or hold special events on campus.
