I grew up in south central Kentucky on a diary farm. After graduation from high school and stint in the Army, I attended and graduated with a BSME from the University of Kentucky. While working for General Electric Co., I attended and graduated from the University of Louisville with a MEEM degree. After working in industry for about 18 years, I went into business for myself. For about 8 years, I owned and operated an engineering company that specialized in design and fabrication of custom material handling equipment. After retiring from this and traveling for a couple of years, I accepted a position with Nashville State Community College as an instructor in the Manufacturing Department. I primarily teach in the CAD area with some classes in Architecture and Electrical Technology.
