Walk-In Enrollment Assistance

Students, prospective students, and visitors are welcome on campus for assistance. No appointment is necessary for in-person assistance with admissions, advising, or financial aid. Available on all campuses, except East Davidson, which remains virtual. When coming to the White Bridge campus, please go to the Welcome Center located in the S Building.

How to Register for Classes

Step 1: Check your Degree Works.

Prepare for your advising appointment by checking your Degree Works.

Step 2: Schedule an Advising/Registration appointment.

Advising for Current and Transfer Students

If you are a current or transfer student, schedule an appointment with your advisor.

Step 3: Find your classes.

Class Schedule Planner

Select a campus location in Schedule Planner. If you want to attend a class in person, either fully on-ground or as a part of a hybrid section, choose a physical campus location. If you choose only "online class" options, ou will not be required to attend in person. You may choose more than one campus location.

Then, select the mode(s) of instruction. You may choose more than one option.

2023 Course Instructional Modes Options

  • On-Campus (class meets at the selected location)
  • Online (web-based classes, designated by a "W" section)
  • Virtual (class meets at scheduled days/times through Zoom, designated by a "V" section)
  • Hybrid (combination of online and in-person)
  • TN eCampus (fully online but an additional fee applies, designated by an "R" section)

Check the status of your financial aid:

  1. Log in to your MyNSCC account.
  2. Click the My Self Service tab.
  3. Click the Financial Aid tab.
  4. Click on Financial Aid Status and select the appropriate year.
  5. Click the student requirements link.

Step 6: Get a parking permit.

Parking permits are valid from July 2022 to September 2023.

Step 7: Get your student ID.

New photo ID’s are not required each semester. The initial Photo ID card is issued free of charge. There will be a $10 replacement fee assessed for cards that are lost, damaged, stolen, or those that require a name change.

Step 8: Buy your textbooks.

Students are encouraged to order their textbooks and materials online at nsccshop.com.

Nashville State bookstore hours will vary by campus. Curbside pickup will be available.

Digital Course Materials (DCM) – your class may have the materials automatically included in your D2L course. DCM is a convenient and affordable program that delivers your course materials in digital format on the first day of classes. The charge for the book is automatically applied to your account. Learn more about DCM.
