Open House for Argosy and AI Students
Nashville State Community College Ready to Assist Argosy and Art Institute Students
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 23, 2018) – Nashville State Community College announced today a commitment to work with students from Argosy University and the Art Institute of Tennessee who may be impacted by the recently announced enrollment suspension at both institutions.
“We will evaluate potential coursework transfer one student at a time and provide individual academic advising to help those affected by the enrollment suspension,” said Bryan Thomas, Associate Vice President for Extended Campuses at Nashville State. “With six campus locations across Middle Tennessee, we are uniquely positioned to work with interested Argosy and Art Institute students.”
Nashville State offers several programs that align with Argosy University including Business Administration, Information Systems, and Psychology. Nashville State programs that align with the Art Institute include Graphic Design, Web Design, Multimedia Design, Photography, and Culinary and Hospitality Management.
Students interested in learning more about transferring credits are encouraged to attend an Open House to be held at the East Davidson campus on Saturday, August 4th. The session will run from 9:00 to noon at 2845 Elm Hill Pike in Donelson. Representatives from academic divisions, admissions, and financial aid will be on hand to answer questions and work with students “We want to meet students where they are by evaluating their current academic progress and creating a plan to help them continue pursuing their academic and career goals.” said Jamica Hines, Assistant Director of the NSCC East Davidson Campus. Registration for the Fall 2018 semester is currently open, but classes are filling quickly.
