Greater Together

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System formed a partnership with Austin Peay State University, Nashville State Community College, and the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Dickson & Clarksville campus to ensure that all students who graduate from CMCSS schools are aware of opportunities in our community to continue their education.

By opening the lines of communication and sharing data, we remove barriers many students face to graduating from a postsecondary institution.

We work together to help Clarksville students accomplish their career goals through postsecondary education.

Using Data to Better Understand Our Students

Greater Together Clarksville created a one-stop data hub with information about Clarksville-Montgomery County seniors who have applied for the TN Promise.

The data hub provides real-time student information on applications, TN Promise completion, FAFSA completion, and ACT scores and can assist the colleges with outreach to students who have not completed any part of the application process.

Greater Together Clarksville sends personalized letters and emails to target seniors based on ACT scores to invite them to the Summer Bridge programs at partner institutions.

Greater Together continues to monitor the progress of CMCSS students who attend partner institutions after they graduate high school to create strategies to increase retention.

The data allows partners to reflect on goals and ensure annual improvement.

Working Together to Improve FAFSA Completion

Students may not realize they can earn a college degree or certificate for FREE simply by filling out the FAFSA.

Greater Together Partners helps with the following school events: FAFSA completion events, senior parent nights, and exclusive acceptance events at each school.

FAFSA completion rates have improved.
