We are excited you've chosen Nashville State Community College to start or continue your education. When you attend Nashville State, you join a supportive community. We want you to be comfortable here. Student Orientation is designed to help you become familiar with the many student services available at the College.

New Nashville State Students (first time and transfer degree-seeking students)

Step 1: Complete the self-paced Online Orientation! Here you will discover essential information about deadlines, important dates, and college resources. You will also learn how to navigate the Nashville State website.

Step 2: Check your student email! Students who have been advised will receive an invitation in their student email to register for Welcome to the Nest (in person new student orientation). This event is required for first time students to Nashville State. Other students are welcome to attend!

Readmit and Non-Degree Seeking Students

It is optional to complete the self-paced Online Orientation! Here you will discover essential information about deadlines, important dates, and college resources. You will also learn how to navigate the Nashville State website.

Welcome to the Nest, part 2 of New Student Orientation, is designed to give you all the tools you need to be successful as a student with Nashville State. The content is geared to prepare you right as classes begin. This session is required for all first time students to Nashville State.

Computer Science A.S., Class of 2021
After talking with multiple faculty, I knew Nashville State could offer me the transition I needed in ensuring my road to success... I want to gain knowledge and see first-hand how creativity can be infused with technology.
Ilse Martinez excelled during her time at Nashville State. She just earned an Associate of Science in Computer Science, TN Transfer Pathway, and made the President's List for the Fall 2021 semester. For her efforts, Martinez received an MTSU Blue Raider Scholarship for the Spring 2022 semester. She is working towards a bachelor's degree in computer science, with a focus on UX/UI design.
