Grievance Procedure

Accommodations Grievance Procedure

The accommodation process is an interactive process and requires communication between the student, the Access Center, and the instructors.

If a student qualifies for academic accommodations through the Access Center at Nashville State Community College and the student disagrees with an accommodation decision by the Access Center, the first step is for the student to express this concern to his/her assigned Access Coordinator. If the student and the Access Coordinator cannot come to an agreement, the student can bring his/her accommodation concern to the Access Center Director.

If a resolution cannot be determined concerning reasonable accommodation at the Access Coordinator level and at the Access Director level, the student may participate in the Student Grievance Complaint Procedure outlined in the Student Policy Handbook.
