Get federal or state tuition assistance.

Don’t let the cost of tuition stop you from continuing your education. Check off the items on this page in order to apply for Financial Aid at NSCC. Once all of these requirements have been met, aid will be awarded based on eligibility and aid preference. When ready, information will be mailed to you and available to review on myNSCC under Self-Service.

Complete the FAFSA

The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the only application you need to be considered for federal and state grants and scholarships. You must submit a new FAFSA each year. To apply, click on the link below and indicate Nashville State as a school to receive the results.

After we receive your FAFSA application, we will send you a letter explaining any additional requirements along with any necessary forms.

Homeless Student Liaison

In accordance with House Bill 1000/Senate Bill 763 (now Public Chapter 266), Nashville State Community College has designated a staff member to serve as a homeless student liaison to assist homeless students who are enrolled, or planning to enroll, in the institution. This liaison understands the provisions pertaining to financial aid eligibility of homeless students and is available to help connect those students with available resources.
