Nashville State and Vanderbilt Health Affiliated Network Recognized for Strengthening Regional Healthcare Workforce Pipeline

The leaders of Nashville State Community College and Vanderbilt Health Affiliated Network were honored during the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual celebration for their work in strengthening regional healthcare workforce talent.

Nashville State is proud to celebrate President Dr. Shanna L. Jackson, who, alongside Vanderbilt Health Affiliated Network President Dr. C. Wright Pinson, received the 2026 Spirit of the Region Catalyst Award.

The award honors individuals whose leadership, collaboration, and commitment help move important regional initiatives forward. Dr. Jackson and Dr. Pinson were recognized for their efforts to mobilize the Postsecondary Industry Network and strengthen the healthcare workforce pipeline across the region.

“Dr. Jackson and Dr. Pinson’s commitment to bringing together education and industry partners to address critical workforce needs has created momentum around solutions that will benefit the Nashville region for years to come,” said Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Stephanie Coleman.
