Nashville State and Belmont University Partnership Continues with Free Summer Program for Incoming Fall 2026 Students

Nashville State Community College is expanding its partnership with Belmont University’s Fast Forward program, offering a free, for-credit summer experience to help incoming students start college strong.

Thanks to Belmont, first-time Nashville State students enrolling for Fall 2026 can earn college credit at no cost while gaining valuable preparation for their academic and career journey. This is the third summer the program has been made available.

The program will be offered at Nashville State’s North Davidson Campus in Madison and Southeast Campus in Antioch.

Program Details

NSCC 1010: First Year Experience
(1 credit – required for graduation)

  • Two-week summer program
  • Dates: Monday, July 12 – Thursday, July 23
  • Schedule:
    • Instruction: 9–11 a.m.
    • Lunch & Learn (college readiness and career exploration): 11 a.m.–12 p.m.
  • Meets Monday–Thursday
  • Cost: Free — tuition, fees, and lunch are fully funded by Belmont Fast Forward
  • Available at North Davidson and Southeast campuses
  • Cohort size:
    • Limited to one cohort of 20 students at Southeast
    • Limited to two cohorts of 20 students at North Davidson

Eligibility

  • First-time students to Nashville State
  • Eligible for in-state tuition
