Nashville State Graduates Complete Chemours Apprenticeships, Earn Full-Time Positions

Nashville State Community College is proud to partner with The Chemours Co. through a Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development-approved apprenticeship program.

This spring, Graydon Allison and Carson Hicks, graduates of Nashville State's Industrial Process Control Technology program (ICPT), completed apprenticeships at Chemours' New Johnsonville plant. They recently received their certificates of completion.

Rob Tudor, director of information technology partnerships, and Larry Mangrum, director of manufacturing partnerships at Nashville State's Center for Workforce Development and Continuing Education, have been instrumental in developing and sustaining the apprenticeship program.

Upon completing their apprenticeships, Allison and Hicks accepted full-time positions with Chemours, demonstrating the value of workforce-aligned education and strong industry partnerships.

Currently, three Nashville State ICPT students are participating in the apprenticeship program at Chemours.
