New Music Ensemble Offers Cultural Fusion and Community Connection

Nashville State’s School of Arts & Humanities Music A.F.A. program and the Center for Workforce Development & Continuing Education have partnered up to launch Nashville State Roots.

It is a new ensemble that explores tunes from the musical traditions of many cultures in the United States and beyond.

Nashville State Roots will play on the college’s White Bridge campus on the westside of Nashville.

The group will gather on Thursdays from 4:30 to 6 p.m., running from August 28 through December 11.

A final concert for the semester will be held on December 11.

This is a non-credit organization and is open to anyone who has an instrument and is aged 12 and older. You do not have to be a Nashville State student or employee to be a part of Nashville State Roots. There is a one-time fee of $150.00.
