“Reigniting Our Future” Community Open House Set for Sept. 2 at Nashville State Humphreys County Campus

Nashville State Community College and Workforce Essentials are inviting community members to come together Sept. 2, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., for “Reigniting Our Future,” a community open house celebrating resilience, opportunity, and a shared commitment to Humphreys County’s future.

The open house marks the start of a series of events highlighting resources available at Nashville State’s Humphreys County campus, located at 695 Holly Lane in Waverly. Community members will have the chance to learn about education and workforce training options available close to home, while also enjoying food trucks and family-friendly games.

The open house highlights a growing partnership between Nashville State and Workforce Essentials, a nonprofit organization that recently relocated to the Humphreys County campus. Workforce Essentials provides job training and industry certifications, HiSET preparation, and business support services designed to help residents build skills and advance their careers.

Together, the two organizations offer a wide range of resources that support students, workers, employers, and families.

The Humphreys County campus provides local access to associate degrees, technical programs, general education courses, GED preparation, workforce training, support services, and dual-enrollment opportunities for high school students.

The campus is also home to Nashville State’s highly regarded Industrial Process Control Technology program, which helps meet workforce demands in the area’s chemical processing and manufacturing industries. The program has remained in strong demand for years, preparing graduates for high-skill, high-wage careers that support Tennessee’s industrial workforce.
