Student Achievement Takes Center Stage at Nashville State Induction and Honors Ceremonies
Nashville State Community College celebrated student achievement by hosting a Kappa Beta Delta induction ceremony and its annual Honors Ceremony at the White Bridge campus.
The School of Business and Professional Studies proudly inducted two outstanding students—Katie Collier and Alyssa Shae Howard—into the Alpha Eta Chapter of the Kappa Beta Delta International Honor Society.

Associate Professor of Economics and chapter advisor David Adams led the ceremony, honoring the students' academic dedication and excellence in business studies.
Katie is pursuing an Associate of Applied Science in Administrative Professional Technology, while Alyssa is pursuing an A.A.S. in Business with a concentration in Entrepreneurship.
Kappa Beta Delta honors high-achieving students in business programs at ACBSP-accredited institutions, a widely respected mark of quality.
The Honors ceremony in the Health and Humanities Building theater recognized 32 students from the college’s four academic divisions for their scholarly accomplishments.
Deans and faculty from the School of Arts and Humanities, the School of Business and Professional Studies, the School of Health Sciences, and the School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) led the event. Dr. Johannah Williams, vice president for Academic Affairs and Workforce Development, opened with remarks, and Dr. Shanna L. Jackson, the college's president, greeted attendees. Dr. Michael Sundblad, dean of the School of Arts and Humanities, delivered the keynote address, and Assistant Professor of English Mark Helm hosted the program.
“It is always an honor to celebrate the dedication and determination of our students,” said Dr. Johannah Williams, vice president of academic affairs and workforce development. “We are incredibly proud of the commitment these students demonstrate in their academic pursuits, oftentimes while balancing busy personal lives.”
Each honoree received a certificate to recognize their hard work, perseverance, and academic distinction.

Nashville State fosters academic excellence and applauds its students' achievements.
