Nashville State’s two-year Accounting A.A.S. degree can be the start of an exciting and lucrative career if you are detail oriented, organized, like working with numbers and computers, and enjoy preparing and analyzing financial data. Learn the concepts of accounting principles, managerial accounting, intermediate accounting, payroll, taxation, and auditing. Gain practical instruction and hands-on experience in the use of Microsoft Office business applications with extended emphasis on Excel and Access.

The mission of the Accounting program is to provide quality education in accounting that will enable students to succeed in a career now and in the future.

Our accreditation

The Accounting program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Accounting students are eligible for membership in Kappa Beta Delta which is an international honor society established by the ACBSP to encourage and recognize scholarship and accomplishment among students of business, management and administration pursuing associate degrees, and to encourage and promote personal and professional improvement and a life distinguished by honorable service to humankind.
