The Administrative Professional Technology A.A.S. degree program provides the office and management skills required of today’s administrative professionals. The Medical Business and Business Office pathways provide two distinct options to focus your career preparation toward the business office environment or the medical business environment.
Both pathways give future administrative professionals necessary skills in:
- Professional document and presentation preparation using leading office software.
- Effective management of multiple projects and priorities.
- The communication skills required to play a vital role in a successful management team.
The mission of the Administrative Professional Technology program at Nashville State Community College is to contribute to the community by preparing students with the office and management skills necessary to become productive and responsible leaders in today's workplace.
The Administrative Professional Technology program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Administrative Professional Technology students are eligible for membership in Kappa Beta Delta which is an international honor society established by the ACBSP to encourage and recognize scholarship and accomplishment among students of business, management, and administration pursuing associate degrees, and to encourage and promote personal and professional improvement and a life distinguished by honorable service to humankind.
