The one-year Early Childhood Education Technical Certificate prepares students for employment in the field of child care and early education.

Students who received their CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential through TECTA (Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance) are given an opportunity to strengthen their skills and knowledge in curriculum development for young children and receive necessary credits for CDA renewal.

Complete the TECTA courses for CDA preparation and only 12 additional hours are needed to receive the Early Childhood Education Technical Certificate. All courses in the Early Childhood Education Technical Certificate count toward the two-year Early Childhood Education AAS degree.
